• 1977: The Stuco Hobby Inc. was founded in Glattbrugg and was established as a wholesaler for Do-it-yourself products.
  • 1979: The Stuco Hobby Inc. took over the sole representation of a foreign crafting company and as the development was more consequent than the Do-it-yourself products, the Stuco Hobby Inc. became a specialist in crafting.
  • 1988: The Stuco Hobby Inc. decided to build up a new building in Bassersdorf, as the available space in Glattbrugg was too little.
  • 1989: The new building in Bassersdorf was finished.
  • 1992: The Stuco Hobby Inc. independently and creatively created the assortment for swiss market needs.
  • 1999: The Stuco Hobby Inc. took over and fully integrated the A. Gruber Inc. in their concept.
  • 2000: In cause of the rising market needs, the logistic system was customized and a new building in Bassersdorf came into use.
  • In 2009 Marianne Hobby took over the Stuco Hobby Inc. in Bassersdorf, Switzerland. In May 2009 the Kurt Nemetz GesmbH from Judenburg/Austria took over 100 % of the company. Since June 2009 the Austrian company has shipped products to Switzerland directly from the headquarters in Austria. The office with showroom at the Stuco Hobby Inc. remained in Bassersdorf. Currently 12 employees are working for the Stuco Hobby Inc. Through the connection between these two strong partners an important step into the European market was made.
  • 2009: Kurt Nemetz celebrated three important anniversaries. His 75th birthday, 40 years of self employment and 65 years of family business.

The Kurt Nemetz GesmbH combines the brands Marianne Hobby and Stuco Hobby as wholetrade saler for creative crafting materials.
